Avraam the Martyr

He was born in Upper Egypt, and he intimidated one of the monasteries of Egypt with a close relative called Marcarius. They lived as brothers in the spirit. They supported each other and were engaged in the monastic life for twenty years in the spirit of the company and love. As the Arsians raised persecution against the Church, they entered into the temple and wanted to make offerings on the altar. The two saints advanced and lifted the bread and wine from the altar, saying: "Those who have not been baptized in the Name of the Holy Trinity are entitled to submit their offering only on the altar of the idols." The Arsians hold and beat them severely until they delivered their spirits. That was on the thirtieth of the month of Abib
