Evantius Martyr

The Latin Churches commemorate the memorial day for the Martyrdom of two priests namely: Evantius and Theodolos together with St Alexandris the 1st, Bishop of Rome. They gained the crown of Martyrdom during the reign of emperor Haridan at the hands of the magistrate Orilyanos around the year of 117 AD. They were thrown in a flaming fire but it did not harm them. So they by sword executed the two priests while the Bishop was stabbed by sharp iron utilities till he delivered his soul. May the Blessings of their prayers Be with all of us Amen
